Just thought I'd let you guys know I got the 76 Z running again. Ended up being a bad wire in the harness. It took me forever to find it, but only two minutes to fix it. Oh well, I'll be out with it at the next meet, or maybe I'll bring the new 82 280ZX i just bought out. Bill

Glad to hear it was a "simple" fix.

I have to say again, I'm still surprised at how good of a mood Bill was in all day Sat, even after his car gave him trouble.

Glad to hear it man. I didn't get a chance to look at it very well before it went down. Hope to see it at the next meet.

Good to hear Bill.... I was one of many "old-schoolers" slobbering on the original paint and period-specific HL covers.... Too damn cool.

It's in real good shape. Not as good as mine but for only $500 it's real nice. I'll get some pics this weekend. It has a bad turbo on it, but the guy gave me a new one.:ylsuper A little elbow grease and a little wrenching, it'll be good as new (or used).

Are you bringing the 280Z home this weekend or are you leaving it at the base again. I want to drive it again and go cruise 20. Nick

Nick,I'm bring it home this weekend. I'll see if I can make it home early enough to go the streetdisturbance meet. Can't wait to put the new sub-injector computer in, I'll boost it up to 15-17 psi. Should flat out fly!!!!!!!!!!!

Bill - When i was in Austin last weekend at the local "ricer punk" hangout, there was a SWEET '81 Z (black with the gold package and tan interior) with 41K ORIGINAL MILES on it.

Guy wanted $8K for it... That thing was PERFECT. No mods, no scratches, no wear, just well-preserved classic Datsun goodness.

80 is the anniversary year for the Z car. The 10th to be exact. There's one close to my house for sale. Perfect in every way. The guy wants $7,900. It's worth it, but not for me. I bet in AZ there is a lot of cool old cars, that aren't rusted away.

I'd like to get my hands on one of those. My dad wants one some day. Better now than never.

I'm always on the look out for another one. Of course I only buy the really cheap ones, and piece something back together. I figure if I get enough of them I shouldn't have to buy parts anymore.
