Hey all, I've done some research about this whole death sway situation, and concluded I have it as well...I thought it was odd that I just got my car back from the shop (mechanic is a family friend and works on my, my dad's, brothers and uncle's cars so I know his assessment of what I needed was correct) after major suspension work (struts, shocks, etc) only to find that I have the death sway symptoms (did not know about the death sway until after I got my car back). Just a few questions, I plan on just replacing the control arms, and I know the bushings will go out again in another 100k, but I'm gonna sell the car soon anyway, and was wondering if I needed the upper control arm, the lower control arm, or both? Does anyone know how much the dealer will charge for parts and labor for this type of job? Since I just dropped a fair amount of money I want to go the most inexpensive way possible. Another option would be to order the parts from infinitipartsusa.com and finding a shop to do it. Anyone dealt with this website; they appear to be an Infiniti dealer in Arizona. They're charging $70.03 for the right lower control arm, $67.41 for the left lower control arm, and $106.44 for the upper control arm. I am mechanically inclined but don't have the time nor desire to make this a DIY. Let me know what you guys think is the best course of action. Any advice/suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
