It's obviously not wired correctly. Try checking all the fuses first, then start troubleshooting your wiring.

Could it be as simple as a drained battery

i just bought a new battery so i know it isnt the battery and i was thinking a ground too so i hooked my jumper cables to the intake and to thenegative of the battery and still nothing. so i guess i go fuse hunting huh? i hope it is something simple like that cuz i dont like wiring at all and idont want to go through the harness

With all the different problems that you are having, I highyl doubt that it's a fuse. Although it's a PITA, go through all the wiring that you did and make sure you connected all the plugs back in etc. Something is really disconnected or not wired properly if your starter doesnt even turnover

You might want to take your car to someone who has experience and knows what they're doing.

ok so i figured out it is because of my lower harness. i have an auto one and i dont have a plug that goes onto the starter. i found one that looks like it might go on but it is a different style than the one on my sr lower harness and the reason i am not using that harness is becaeseu it is butchered and i cant fix it. so looks like i need to get a 5 sp lower harness

When I did my SR swap, I reused the KA lower harness because my SR harness was all cut up. I replaced the transmission sensors with the KA ones because the plugs were different. As for the plug for the starter being different, you can fix that one of two ways. Either cut the starter plug off of the SR lower harness and put it on your KA lower harness, or cut the plug off of the KA starter and put it onto the SR starter.
