So whats the deal with this thing in the other thread you said something about it not recognizing our car properly and you'd have to call them.

well, when you install the update software, and then plug in your device to your computer via USB, the update driver is supposed to automatically recognize your unit, and instantly starts downloading the updates to your device... but that didn't happen.. I even went to the website and manually downloaded the driver for the tuner, and still no go.

they state in the instructions to only install this during business hours, otherwise, you run the risk of resetting your ECU incorrectly if the download doesn't complete correctly to your car, and your car may not start. I'll just be patient and wait until Monday morning... I won't keep you guys in suspense... when I get it running and installed, I'll let you all know what I think!

Here's what you do:

- Call them.- They will get you to plug the unit back into your computer to make a dump of your ECU.- They will then get you to send it to them.- Wait 1-2 weeks for a tune for your car.

The reason for this is because there are so many different Nissan ECUs for our cars and they don't know about all them yet.

I had to do the same thing with my power pup. You may want to search for other releases of their software on other forums, like G35 forums etc. They're going through the same thing. The power pup is at like 1.2.3 or 1.2.2F or something now. The website only shows 1.2.1 or something.

Just be patient with them, I find you get better service if you just wait it out. It's worth it in the end.

Sounds like they had their DB servers out in the net and got hacked on the weekend where there was no monitoring of outside attacks. Def. running access times on their DMZ; Hence why you can only access them during normal business hours

Yeah might be part of it but I think the main reason is, is if you screw your ECU and you can't get it working you'd have to call to see what can be done (if you're not too technical).

I wonder if they have improved the tunes for our cars over several versions? I have 1.2.2b so I wonder if they adjust the tune a bit more in 1.2.2c etc or do they just add support for more models? It would be interesting to find that out for sure.
