Hey guys i got my s13 back. Well it has given me a few headaches not due to a bad job but i think my bad driving. Heres my prob, i was drving it through some corners like i usually do and i feel the car kind of sluggish a while after. Well i was going home early bc i had a bad feeling when all of a sudden, my car wouldnt move <5000 from a stop light on 1st. Well i was about a .5 miiles from home and the whole time i was going about >5000 rpm on 2nd just to get it to 25 mph. Well i finally get it into my garage and i let the fan cool it for about 3 hrs. Well i try to drive it again but i get another bad feeline when i levae my house so i turn back and right when i stop to get into my garage, the car wont move and im revving >5000 rpm on 1st and my oil temp warning light comes on bc its at 120 degrees!. Well i had to pust the car into my garage (which is inclined upwards) and i pop the hood and im letting the fan cool it. Its like that as i type now. Well ive checked the coolant and radiator and i cant figure out wtf is the problem. CAn you guys help me out bc i really need some advice. Id podt this in the SR section but then you guys cant see my pics:)

btw my car is dirty in these photos and you cant see my gauges,:( (theyre greddy 52mm boost and oil temp gauges, egt is coming next week w/better pics). Ill get some night pics later on which you can see my gauges light up at night :)

sounds like a clutch problem to me.... if the car won't move then it's driveline related. and basically by driving at such high rpm for so long you're cooking the oil too, hence the oil temp warning.

It's definetly a clutch problem. A friend of my bro's was complaining of a sh*tty clutch and brought it into my Auto class for some diagnosis. Drove it around the block a few times and the clutch wouldn't engage <4500. Same problem you had. In fact, after the class was over, on my way towards the school parking lot, the clutch completly blew. White smoke = not good. ;) Apparantly he had been driving with the clutch like that for a few weeks. I replaced is clutch with a basic, new clutch kit from Napa. He also had the flywheel resurfaced. After that, thing drove like a charm...

BTW, it was on a '89 240sx base with around 170,000 or so miles.
