Well after owning my 240 for 5 years now i broke down and bought a red top long block/trans. Im really happy about the motor because i bought it with a blown #2 cylinder and i didnt really no what was going to be under the head. This morning i pulled the head only to find #2 piston ring landing was burned and the cylinder is barley even scard. I orderd a new set of s15 pistons and rings so hopfully this motor will be running soon.

sr20det long blocksr20det trans 5 speedehxaust maniturbocharger plus down pipeintake manifuel rail injectors4 coils with harnessignitin module

all for 4bills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did they media blast that thing? I'd be worried about the cam journals if they did.

They did blast it but i drilled out the plugs so i can flush oil passeges.

the cam cam journals i can sand with 2000 grit paper and the will be shinny again

I got the block back from the machine shop today. it looks really good and im happy the block didnt have to be over bored.

But thats ok my goal is 350 hp

If I wasn't mistaken, the pistons are the same across the s-chassis SR20DET line up . As long as they're new they'll be good to go

if i were you, i'd just save up a few hundo's and get forged pistons. You minus well.

That project is looking great. I love the look of parts when they come back clean and smooth.

I plan on tearing ym SR block down over the summer and getting everything done to it.

400+ hp here I come!!!
