I got a 1990 nissan 240 hatch with the stock ka24e single cam. I just recently purchase a 92 ka24de motor for my 90 hatch... I was wondering if the wire harness for the ka24e is compatable with the 92 ka24de... I notice on the ka24de wiring harness there was wires that was cut from the dashboard to the ecu... I still have the ECu part but from there back it was cut... The wires that run from the ECu to somewhere underneath the dash board doesnt match the stock harness... The Stock single cam harness has i think 13 wires and the ka24de motor has like 10 or visversa.... i cant remember ..... Does any one know ? What should i do .... I trying to finish my swap on my birthday Today!!!!!!!!!

1. Locate the body harness that attached to your old harness. Cut the old connector off (the one that attached to your SOHC harness) and attach your DOHC body harness connector. Just match the colors! There will be some wires left over. These are for the SOHC's diagnostic plug, and are unnecessary. Please note: Your car will NOT be able to hook up to a CONSULT tool. To accomplish this, you must get a body harness with all the correct DOHC wiring. This is why we cut the body harness connector off, and not the engine harness connector.2. I recommend using a soldering iron, shrink tubing and electrical tape as opposed to butt connectors. It makes for a much cleaner job, and a cleaner electrical signal.
