Nothing a set of thermal gloves, heated grips and full unperforated leathers wouldn't cure.D1SR240 wrote:unfortunatley I had to put the bike in the shed for the winter this week, since right now it's about 18 degrees outside.
you're hardcore you silly bastard.Looneybomber wrote:Nothing a set of thermal gloves, heated grips and full unperforated leathers wouldn't cure.
Well, as a cruiser-loser, I put the windscreen on and will ride some ... giving up for the whole winter is like spitting ... it's quitting in my book.Looneybomber wrote:Nothing a set of thermal gloves, heated grips and full unperforated leathers wouldn't cure.
Laymans terms for those that don't ride.Rex wrote:Down side is the decreased amount of grip, in contrast to the "cold air induction" Mother Nature gives the bike.
I didn't do all that, but I did flush the carbs, put some fuel-stabilizer in there, pulled the battery and lubed up the chain. The thing is I had to completly rearrange everything in the shed to get my bike to fit, and it's gonna take me a while to get the bike back out, plus I'm not sure how riding in snow would work out. I guess I'll just wait intill spring.Looneybomber wrote:Why not ride? What did you do to winter prep your bike? If you went the route of pouring a tiny bit of oil into each cyl, flushing your carbs and coating it in some light weight oil (or even WD-40 sprayed every month), topping off your tank with some fuel-stabil, cleaning and lubing your chain and cables, pulling your battery and putting it on a battery tender and parking the bike on some jack stands, then yeah I could see why you wouldn't want to ride.
If all you did was park the bike for the winter (shame on you for not prepping it) get out there and ride! It's good for you and your bike.
They don't call them pocket bikes for nothing.themadscientist wrote:my bike sleeps in my living room every night. One of the advantages of an 87Kg bike
That is cheap for insurance. Wonder why it's so cheap when >50% of bikes don't go more then 6 months without a spillD1SR240 wrote:I'm only 17.
