if the engine has fire, and the engine turns, but when it turns on it doesn't stay on.... is that the fuel pressure regulator or what?

it could be alot of stuff if you MAF is not tight on ur intake it will cut off, if ur comprestion is not right it will cut off, if ur plugs are not all the way on or u got water in ur intake it can also make it cut off. u could tell more about whats wrong if u know the sound it makes when it cut. Dose it cut out slowly or just starts then stops right away ect....

i had that problem 3 times 1 was when my airflow censor cam off just a little bit. other was when fule pump went and, the last was when my cam broke. i would put a bet one the first 2 not realy the last won unless u were drifting alot is 1st and 2nd gear.

where is the airflow censor located, what year is your 240?

check timing, vacuum leaks, and etc. Seriously break open a factory service manual and go to town.

Wait, so you have some vaccum hoses pulled off of the intake and you didnt plug them? If so That is your reason that your car won't stay running.
