Nissan, judgment withheld on 370Z which I haven't driven (and the GT-R, which doesn't exactly count) doesn't get "zoom zoom." Mazda gave the world the wonderful little Mazda3, a joy to drive even in it's slowest, crappiest form. What shining light did Nissan gift us with in the Mazda3's segment? The Sentra?
Mazda has always been a Japanese BMW (especially now, with the choice of...unusual styling), they get what a driver's car needs. I mean, they built the Miata, the world's greatest car. Nissan's attempt to get back into the enthusiast fold was the 350Z, which turned out to be less than the sum of it's parts. Maybe there's a reason Mazda has so much support behind Mazdaspeed and Nissan pulled out of North American motorsports in 2007...
