I got a leak in the car!?!?!

Well it rained hard the other day and I discovered that I had a leak in my rear deck or something, cause my dome light inside the car filled up with water?

Anyone else have this problem? If so how can i go about fixing it?

I had the same problem, I was going thru a car wash and i noticed water coming in throught my light. Weird.

well i'm worried about rust mainly. I think its the groove between the roof and the hatch. I guess i'd have to pull apart the headliner to see.

Anyone else got any ideas on how to fix?

its not any of the above. assuming its a fastback (which im sure it is) its the rear window washer. take the light all the way out, and youll see the sprayer sitting right there. I just pumped a bunch of RTV around the thing and it hasnt leaked since

check the sunroof if you have one, it tends to leak into the headliner on mine..

lol YUP, same thing happened to mine.. every time it rained hard I would have a little puddle of water inside my dome light. Turned out to be the rear washer nozzle was loose. Silicone fixes that right up though, no biggie.

I was talking to a friend and he said something about there being piping in the roof to help drain off water and sometimes it gets clogged. Anyone know about this?

Its definetly your washer nozzle. I'll bet you 50 bucks plus a night with your girlfriend/wife/sister. There arent any pipes in the roof... maybe hes referring to the channels along the sides of the hatch that flow water down the hatch and out near the tail lights..?

BWHAHAHAHAHAHA...........thanks though i'll take the light off tomorrow or soon before it rains and then caulk some silicon around there.
