Already changed

The car was pretty clean when it got here according to Jerry, but certainly improved with a little work!

Lots of stuff actually...

Going to start out with just some basic maintence in the spring like brakes, suspension, tires, new o2 sensors, etc.

Mods will start off simple with things like exhaust, intake, new badges, some motor dress up stuff, probably a transmission swap, and whatever else I get the urge to buy for it soon.

Future plans, who knows. Might build the KA, might swap to an RB, might swap to an SR, we'll see where the road leads me

And what was done to the fan shroud? Just some paint? IIRC all the ones I've seen have been black.

I'm thrilled with how well this whole thing worked out! It was extremely enjoyable to be able to give you the car you've been dreaming about for years Plus the reaction was priceless You had no idea

Thanks to everybody who was in on it who didn't slip up and tell Steph about it haha.

Now lets getting modding and ready for the spring/summer when you'll start driving it so we can go cruising and go to car shows and stuff! I can't wait

Anyway, being the picture whore that I am, I'll contribute some pictures and such.

Here's the engine bay....From this....

Here's the interior....Before....

After....

Some road trip pictures the guys took on the way back....

Here's the paint.....

before....(kinda looked like a bad wetsanding attempt)

after....

Some work in the shop (parts replacement, alignment, buffing, etc)

It is black, its just the way the flash hit the engine dressing, made it look kinda charcoal in color.

Jerry: WHat did you use on the engine bay?

Was it mostly just wiping/scrubbing it down? Or did you use some kind of chemical that took most of it off?

Oh yeah, congrats

I was getting ready to ask that, I think everybody's car here could use a good engine bay bath.

The engine bay took a lot of work. I've got probably 3 hours into it as it was extremely dirty (but just like any other used car out there). To clean it up I sprayed the engine down with engine degreaser, let it sit a few minutes and then hosed it off with hot water. I did that 3 times. I then lifted the car up, pulled all the splash shields off and went through about 5 cans of brake parts cleaner to tidy up the underside of the engine bay, it was caked with gunk and grime. After that I went back to the topside and I used a product called Dissolve All to break up all the deposits of oil/dirt/grime/whatever and did some scrubbing, I used almost a full bottle of this. Then I hosed down the engine bay again with hot water. After that I dried it off and sprayed the engine compartment down with a silicone based engine dressing. Normally I would have gone way more indepth and used paint cleaners and waxes on the firewall and inner fenderwells but time was against me. Regardless, it made a HUGE turn around and looks fantastic.
