so my friend got a 97 type X front clip, and the gas pedal is shaped like a chevroltet automatic brake pedal. the clutch and brake pedals are identical to ours, but the gas is HUGE and sideways.... do you think they did this for drifting purposes in the type X? or do you think someone rigged it up? i'm going to try and put it in my car today/ or at least see if it fits, and decide not to put it in..... let me know what you think....

I was gonna ghetto rig something like that to make heel/toe easier.

What does type X have to do with drifting? Wouldn't a wider pedal make it harder to heel toe?

a wider pedal would make it easier, the gas pedal is pretty narrow in most stock 240ies. The point of the heel/toe is to match engine speed with ground speed when you downshift, so you want to tap the gas to rev the motor and shift gears. If done right, its a much smoother motion. So having a wider pedal would result in less (not much) twist in your foot to tap the gas with your heel while applying the brakes. Put up a pic, i'm interested in how it looks so i can rip it off bootleg style.
