Plastic bedliner, don't worry, it won't just fall out, I would know. They are tough, it dosen't even matter that your bed is rusted through in some spots.

yeah its no big deal... my bed had been rusted through on both sides on the inside of the wheel wells... when i did all the body work on it i just sprayed it with rust converter and placed sheets of metal over the holes

here is a pic of my bed (with my old paint) but can you tell where the holes were?

yeah unfortunately the beds always rust out of the nissan pickups. i had a hardbody years ago, until someone drove into it. the only rust on the whole truck was the bed. i think the bed is the only part not made in japan.

Mine had a bed liner that had holes in it and that blew off during a storm never found it so I decided to scrap all the gravel and such out the back.

How hard is the metal work to do for the bed?

well it depends on how well you can cut... its easy really

all i did was grind the rust a bit and then sprayed it with rust converter... then cut out two long rectangle pieces (equal in length so the sides would not differ from each other to the eye) and then used a high grade epoxy to fit them in place (the same stuff they hold roof panels to new cars with)

then prep and paint!

King cab and regular cab beds don't interchange, that's my only thought on the subject at the moment.
