I think the guy in the other thread summed it up quite well:Quote » I'd recomend the KA-t subforum, some free time, the search button, and JGStools.come etc[/quote]Read, search, read some more, search again, and then................................read some more. The sticky at the top of this forum would be a good starting point.......and posting a more specific question would help too...good luck

turbo manifold, hotpipe, coldpipe, intercooler, gauge, injectors, lowered compression, oil lines, timer, boost controller, and lots of tuning.

done deal.

you don't need lowered compression, just a good tune. Don't SOHC's already have like 8.8 compression?? But you will have to have a custom manifold made for that turbo.

8.8? im not sure about SOHCs, but DOHCs run 9.5. i mean you can run without the low compression, but u know how boost happy a lot of people get.

I know they do, but he said in his other post (that is linked above) that he has a KA24E.

http://www.answers.com/topic/nissan-ka-engine

"Compression ratio: 8.6:1 (9.1:1 for early 1989 240SX )"

Yes, some people are boost happy, but if he doesn't need a rebuild and the compression is good, he doesn't HAVE to build the engine with lower CR. I'm putting together a kit now and I plan on running on the stock bottom end.

again. this all depends on what kind of turbo you have, what kind of goals you have, and what parts you really want to buy. more than one, less than a million.

SEARCH.

^^Eh?......you're not going to get anywhere with your project with posts like that. It was a perfectly reasonable response to your question. It truly does depend on your goals and what you already have. If you haven't learned this by now, then you have no business trying to build a motor. I'm glad to see you're interested in going KAT, but what he said is only the truth. It will vary GREATLY depending on your specific situation.Try posting (as I suggested earlier) a more specific question based on your HP goals..budget..etc...and search!!!! You have to understand, this type of vague question has been asked countless times before, and it gets old after awhile. Everyone here is more than willing to help along the way, but you must TRY to help yourself as well.Good luck
