Well after about 10 months of being down, and about 4 months after I started this project......I got to drive my Z tonight.

The video is pretty short, and the car doesnt have much of a tune, so i wasnt able to really get on it. I have about 9 mins of video but movie maker kept crapping out on me so i just put this short clip together

I'd just like to say thanks to the members on here who have helped out so far, I couldnt have done this myself!

Enjoy

God I miss that sound. Mine sounds exactly like that except for without the atmospheric BOV and huge turbo. Dam I have to get that thing running.

Cool project! I've enjoyed watching it come together and go well for you.

Last week I discovered that a relatively close friend of mine is really experienced with the AEM (for some reason i was unaware) and he offered to come tune it. I will probably just have him iron out the driveability issues and see what kind of power we can make because I'm only on a stock fuel setup. I do have 1000cc injectors on the way, and am in the middle of researching what fuel pump setup to go with. I'm really leaning towards the Weldon 2025 and a Dial-a-flow which should take me to 1000hp no sweat. I also have to pull the motor out at some point and paint the engine bay, and go ahead and build the motor up

Wow man, congrats. I just read through all the threads you have made on this project and it looks amazing. That manifold looks badass. You guys have done some awesome work on the car.

1000cc injectors won't make 1000hp

lindgren - when are you going to have your beast running? I would imagine it sounding a lot like Booztd's only scarier and Mazda-ish

Soon. Attempted to fire it up last night actually but was having AEM issues. My AEM box had to be sent back today so they could look at it. It'll be a while now.

Sooo that's how they sound when they run! My project has been "in work" too long.

That thing sounds awsome--I bet that engine bay is easier to get around in now!!!

Guys

Got some out of car video last night, it honestly sounds much more like an RB than I thought.

The sounds from that out-of-car clip car are awesome... Totally hot car man. I don't meant to sound like a noob, but what is giving your engine that distinctly different sound high in the rpm range?

it's a rb26, and a gt42 with a huge wastegate. that's the sound you're gonna get.

Sounds totally kicka$$...... wish mine sounded that good. I'm very unhappy with the tone I'm getting out of my 4" Magnaflow. I think yours sounds perfect.
