I've always wanted an in-dash DVD.
Main reason for getting it is for Iphone playback. I've been using the Alpine wired FM module and it burned out on me for the 2nd time Christmas morning. So I bit the bullet and get the Pioneer.
I used the Metra 70-7551 harness and the Axxess steering wheel controls module. It's AWESOME, I just figured out how to download and convert music videos from YouTube to play on it.

The install was straight forward.
A word of advice: Take the 6 CDs in the stock boss CD player out BEFORE you remove it. LOL

In the next few weeks I plan on getting the Navigation module (So I'll get rid of my Garmin unit in the last picture) and maybe the BlueTooth module.

That's where I got mine from, Amazon FTW--> They had it on sale 2 weeks ago.
It'll drop in price again soon. They need to move the 2010 models and start selling the 2011 models. The CES show just ended so the 2011 models will start hitting stores soon.

Yea I have it angled up alittle. It has like 5-6 angle settings. If you have it mounted low you can tilt it up.

I think the reason its that small is that he has a youtube music video or something converted thats playing on the screen, and the screen has it smaller like that so theres no distortion, i tryed movies and stuff on my Clarion VX-400 and they are full screen, along with music videos. But thats because from the start they are high res, as youtube vids are not.

Some videos are small and some are full screen. I'm still playing with the many different DL options. I'm hoping to figure it out so that all the videos are full screen.
It took me almost a week just to figure how to download videos. For the longest time it either wouldn't play or the video and sound wouldn't be sync'ed correctly.

Both videos were downloaded from youtube but this one is full screen

Not the greatest video but you get the idea.

You can use ConvertXtoDVD to create a DVD of youtube videos.

Yea I could do it that way. But I wanted to put everything on the SD card. This way I have folders with videos in them. To do it this way you need DivX files. Not many converter can format to DivX.

install was easy no? oh yeah, does the ipod cable come from the back of the unit? because on another pioneer HU the ipod cable sticks out from the front which i think is a bit unsightly.

Yea the install was pretty easy as long as you take your time and know your wiring.
The USB port is in the back of the unit. It comes with a usb extension cable you plug in and route it where ever you want it. I have mine hidden under the parking brake panel with my Ipod cable connected. It pokes out where the parking brake is and my iphone sits on the little ledge. If I want to plug in a usb flash drive I just lift up the parking brake panel unplug the ipod cable and plug in the flash drive.
