HICAS only came 91-93, which is good 'cause 89-90 is SOHC (KA24E) whereas 91-98 got KA24DE. I had a 92 Canadian hatch with HICAS. . I freaking LOVED that. . nothing I've ever driven has handled nearly that good. It was supposed to be able to hold .95g on the skidpad, and I know of a guy in Vancouver who did nothing more than change his tires, and could hold 1.14g, and max at 1.21 before he'd slide. There are other cars with HICAS tho. . (J30, 300zx, I think older Q45, G35 coupe).1988NissanPathfinder wrote:Well thanks for postin, I wouldnt give up my Beast for anything, my parents are tryin to sell it but I told them the only thing Ill take for it is a 89 240SX Super Hicas. So they said I can keep it
The reason it handled so well is because they are 4wheel steer, I want to get one and put the Skyline drive train axles and all so its 4wheel drive and 4 wheel steer. Unbeatable drift or drag either way it will woop @$$KoukiS14 wrote:

WD21 is the model code for your Pathfinder -- it defines the year / style.
Absolutely .. the HICAS package isn't only 4 wheel steering, however. . you have harder stock springs, thicker sway bars, and a much more responsive front steering... also standard VLSD. Yeah I wish my 97 had both HICAS (available on that year in Japan, of course) and Atessa ET-S (similar to what the QX4 has). I'm sure you could get the Atessa ET-S Pro system from a Skyline to work on a 240, but since it's a smaller vehicle it may be real tough to make it all work together. Might also throw further bias the weight dist. to the front.1988NissanPathfinder wrote:The reason it handled so well is because they are 4wheel steer, I want to get one and put the Skyline drive train axles and all so its 4wheel drive and 4 wheel steer. No worries, there's some less active members running your rig.1988NissanPathfinder wrote:I have a 88 pathfinder all yall have 00 and up. Mines a rusty peice but hey it gets me from point A to point B I bought it for $200 Its got a solid rear axle, person I bought it from welded it together, 5Speed big tires and good wheels, Tires and wheels worth more than truck. It doesnt have a lift and I can't find any way to lift it without spending major money, I also haven't gone muddin yet, its snowin here so I went to a feild and ripped up the powder. Its a shift to 4H so its actually a 2wd unless I shut it off and shift to 4H I can catch 3rd gear rubber with the tires I got. Got any ideas on how to cut cost but get good parts tell me. I NEED BODY PANELS
