The difference wiht Nissan, Honda and Toyota, and even Mazda/Ford, is that they are pretty good platforms and drvetrains. I guess in picutres the Aura looked bigger than a G6. The G6 is a little car, it looks closer ot a cobalt.
For me, every few years I give the big 3 another look and I'm always disapointed. I drove and HHR and it's very cheaply made with a very coarse unrefined powertrain.
I just find it ironic that 20 years ago, Japnesse made the cheap underpowered cars. Now it's GM and Chrysler. Ford, got smart and started cloning Mazdas and sticking a Ford lablel on it. GM, starting to wake up and rebadging european market cars. Ironically, most of the high volume Toyotas and Nissan are actually designed domestically for the NA market, Ford and GM to a lesser extent are not.
