The difference wiht Nissan, Honda and Toyota, and even Mazda/Ford, is that they are pretty good platforms and drvetrains. I guess in picutres the Aura looked bigger than a G6. The G6 is a little car, it looks closer ot a cobalt.

For me, every few years I give the big 3 another look and I'm always disapointed. I drove and HHR and it's very cheaply made with a very coarse unrefined powertrain.

I just find it ironic that 20 years ago, Japnesse made the cheap underpowered cars. Now it's GM and Chrysler. Ford, got smart and started cloning Mazdas and sticking a Ford lablel on it. GM, starting to wake up and rebadging european market cars. Ironically, most of the high volume Toyotas and Nissan are actually designed domestically for the NA market, Ford and GM to a lesser extent are not.

Well I just bought a Versa SL manual Hatchback on Apr 30th, but unfortunately the one I want (Sapphire Blue) isn't available right now so I have to wait until July or August. The dealership might be able to find one sooner but I don't know. So anyways I am trading in my beloved 2002 VW Beetle :-( I'm really gonna miss my baby (my first love). But well... I keep hearing so many good things about Japanese cars (the Versa in particular) that I am even more anxious to get my Versa. I test drove the Fit and liked it but I HATED the fact that it didn't even have an armrest as an option. WTF??? Anyways of course I checked out the Yaris too, but didn't even test drive it because it looked too cheap, plus the gauges in the middle just looks too weird.

So after my research I realized the Versa was my best bet because it's the best bang for your buck My dad was actually the one that told me about it because I had never even heard of it. Then I looked at it, and couldn't stop thinking about it. Of course I don't know if it'll ever replace my Beetle, but well... I'm giving it a shot (cuz German engineering just isn't the greatest anymore).
