I was browsing and went into their "premium" category. They have 2 tracks that are both $200. Are you joking me!

I tried it. And no, I didn't pay for it.
As far as I can tell, it has some affect to some people, and doesn't do crap for others.
I tried one called "Hand of God". I laid down, turned off the lights, and put my headphones on, and tried to relax.
I assumed that it was a bit of a placebo effect, but I came out of it with a very heavy body. Movement was impaired, and standing was a chore. The effects wore off after a few minutes. Overall, I'd say just go for the real drugs :gotme
I'm going to try some other ones, but overall this is pretty much a big crock. (Like we couldn't see that coming!)

Alright. So I went to demonoid and DL'd a few of these. I put in my sound canceling head phones, laid down on the couch, and put a rag over my eyes like you're supposed to for maximum effect. Then I chose to listen to "Gates of Hades", which is supposed to be a really powerful one.

First off, it's not music. The best way I can describe it was throbbing noise. It would speed up and slow down, raise and dip in pitch, etc.

The track is 30 minutes long. The first 15-20 minutes were whatever. Most of the time I couldn't bring myself to concentrate to really have any effect, but occasionally I would slip away from everything. I didn't like those times. Things I feared filled my head. Dark, dark things were in my mind. It genuinely scared me at some points. But then the concentration would loosen and I was back to only hearing music.

After the 20 minute mark though, things got really bad. The music started throbbing faster and faster and growing louder and raising is pitch. It then stopped throbbing and was just solid noise. The thing is though, it wasn't solid. I honestly don't know how to describe it. Whatever it was doing though my mind didn't like. Demons were back, and they wouldn't go away. Things continued to get really bad. I could feel myself twitching. My mind was racing through dark places and I was horrified at the things I was seeing.

The last 2 minutes body was extremely tense. My face started to hurt from frowning or whatever I was doing.

Honestly, I hated that experience. I saw things that frighten me beyond belief. Was it placebo effect like most people claim? Probably. I had to really fight to let my mind clear enough to wear the sound had an effect. Essentially, I had to believe it would do something. The last 5 or so minutes though, there was no forcing myself to let go to this thing. I couldn't keep it out. It swarmed in my head and I hated it.

I yanked the head phones out before it was done, because I couldn't take that feeling anymore. I was sweaty. My body was reluctant to loosen itself. That was not a pleasant experience.

I'm gonna go have a cigarette now. f*** this stuff.

Don't be. It was not a fun experience.

I'm gonna wait a while and try one of the "fun" ones. IE one that's not described on their website as "destruction, death, end of all things."

Probably try the masochistic one next. :naughty:

Hell no! I got them off of demonoid.

If you guys search "i-doser" in demonoid you'll find a ton of them.

Tyler, I have to agree, the gates of hades one works well, probably my favorite so far. Within 5 minutes I was seeing s***... to be more accurate "demons" per se. Try the quick hit ones. Great for impatient people, like me. :)

Agreed. The first 20 minutes were relatively mellow and difficult to really relax and open your mind too. The last 10 minutes though... *shudder*

I actually used "Lucid Dream" to fall asleep to the other night. It was pretty cool. Listen to noises, fall asleep, wake up! I actually felt rather refreshed from that...

WTF did you think was going to happen when you listened to something called "gates of hades" Huh genius?

Especially when labeled as "brainwave manipulation"?

Honestly, I'm not really sure it manipulated me. Had I listened to it without knowing what it was supposed to do, I doubt it would have had the same, if any effect. I think most of it was me trying to open up to something dark and disturbing since that was what it's supposed to do, and eventually it worked.

Sometimes I really think the explanations "rational" people come up with are just as ludicrous as the ones "crazy" people come up with.

You honestly believe you saw demons because you wanted to? OKAY. Then why were you so freaked out then?

I honestly don't know why. It's hard to explain. What I'm trying to say is that I don't think I would have had a nightmarish reaction had I not known that track was supposed to be dark and scary.
