Ok well my engine gets really really hot after about 10 mins just on idle.

My temp gauge stays half way which i suppose is normal for the car.

But when im driving i can feel the heat coming from the engine bay going through the vents inside the car. ITS LIKE having the heater on, on medium speed. I dont even need to use the heater, it gets hot inside the car after about 10 mins of driving. I always have to keep the windows open or else i will burn inside.

Just wondering if this is normal?

**EDIT** Also while im driving i can feel the hot breeze hitting my feet coming from the engine bay underneath the dash.

is this really normal or wat the hell is going on here?

I have a 96 and it never gets that hot. Check your coolant/oil.

My coolant is full. I bled it out properly. My gauge stays half way but the engine seems to be too hot than normal.

Oil is always full also.

check the connection at your engine coolant temp sensor for corrosion (could be giving a false reading)

does the car run okay? check your firewall/trans tunnel for proper insulation... I know the engine bay of a SR swap gets pretty hot pretty quick, but thats normal - KA's should really be all THAT hot.

Sorry for bieng such a noob but i dont know where my coolant temp sensor is. If you could tell me where it is located, then i can check the connection etc.. for false reading.

To me the car seems to be running okay, but this is my first time driving a 240sx and a manual transmission car. So this is like noobish to the max.

Thanks for your help, really appreciate it.

temp gauge is half way.. yes thats normal....

now for heat u might wanna check your oil or coolant.. also check to see if ur fan is working properly.... might wanna upgrade to electric fan.. and ur radioator could be clogged

Hit the button that uses fresh air or recirc's the inside air already. I forget which way mine had to be to stop the air in the vents, I think it was on recirculating...
