God help me when i am a parent, I will not buy a car for my son/daughter.

They will have to earn the money for that thing so they can appreciate it for what it is. Most parents dont think about this today and thats why you hear about all these young kids who wreck cars.

My grandmother bought my first car for me. It was a 1987 Ford Tempo GL. It was a POS, but I kept that thing for almost 10 years. I shudder to think what would have happened if someone bought me a car that had over 100hp.

most of those guys that dont own 240s arent familiar with the specs/whatever. its just like how most of you guys dont know much about hondas and just call them crappy/wrong specs. when honda forums read about us talking crap they think we're total idiots also.

eclipse is pretty decent as a sporty car. not like a stock ka 240 is any good either. even though its domestic =/

Only thing I can agree with in there is that the kid needs an "ef dx" (ed3 DX actually, these kids can't get their numbers straight). I drove that for forever. I couldn't imagine a better car for someone to start driving with. Well, maybe something with Airbags, come to think of it.
