Thats it, I need something better. I am a freak. I need speed, I love the handling of the 240sx, but the speed sucks! I know everyone says get the sr20 blah blah blah! Its not legal. I dont want to deal with any legal issues. I am selling my bike and hopefully gonna get 3,500 from it. So im thinking that money plus my car on trade in should get me something nice what you guys think? What should i get? I want a 4 cylinder turbo. I cant deal with the big eights(gas). I also need the back seat and trunk for my system. Can anyone see something in that range of money? Of course it has to beat the 240 in a straight line.

You could always turbo the KA..... If not, I always have liked the FC RX-7, but not the most reliable I have heard. I would stay with the 240, personally. best bang for the buck out there overall, imo, and easily modded.

He's gonna have $3500 plus the paltry sum a 14 year old 240SX is worth. If you want something fast and cheap (let's not get in to "reliable") you can always try to find an older DSM that hasn't been run in to the ground.

Ummmm...that's all I can think of unless your price range is a bit higher.

hey you should read more carefully, its not a 14 year old car. At most a 9 year old car.

FC RX-7 = 87-91

TurboII would be a good choice. My other car.

Heh. For the money, your options are limited. I guess you're looking at, realistically 4.5k. The rest you'll need for registration and misc. stuff. At that rate I'd go for a turbo saab or wrx or something. You don't have too many options. Maybe an AWD Mazda 323, a very underrated hatch (to the best of my knowledge). Fun, peppy, and turbo. Your turbo requirement significantly narrows the field. PEACE. Tek.

Yeah, since when did PR have stringent laws against engine swaps? I say turbo the KA, because the possibility of getting a SR to Puerto Rico without it being messed up is slim. At least that's what i think would happen, if anybody wants to ship it there that is.

nobody does care here at all but... cmon i dont want the swap and i can get engines in the dominican republic whenever. The thing is ill be spending the same money on swap. Im thinking about rebuilding, maybe using the nissan factory pistons that raise compression. Or buying this 93 saab 9000 turbo 4 door, 225hp, runs fast but has a lot of lag. definatly more comfy. The bike is gonna go because its a 250, im definatly gonna get something better later

rebuild and turbo the KA, no swap neccesary, and it has plenty of speed for your need :D

also if you ever need to smog it or what ever just take off the turbo for the day, keep all your stock parts... always...

For the record, IS300 is garbage.

It's not very impressive, it looks nice but Lexus could have refined it more and given it some more kick.. Now the IS430.. another story :)

I would love to get an Audi A4

Get the previous body style [97 - 01], an A4 2.8 w/ Quattro... mmm sexy! Germans sure do know how build quality too :)

Then save up for a while, and buy the super charger kit from Evolution Motor Sports.. 295hp + AWD + Hot looks + Great quality [especially the interior.. Audi is known for the interior] = One sweet *** ride

If I had an extra 50k right now i'd go out and buy a 2004 S4..

4.2 V8 / AWD / 6 Speed / Recaro seats with Alcantara Leather.. soooooooo sexy!!!!!

Seriously though, if you want a great car that'd be one of them.. you can even opt for the 1.8T (1.8 liter / turbocharged).. with Quattro it's kind of a slug and doesn't hold much value - so you can find it cheap, but since it's already turbocharged upgrades will be easy to get more power out of it, turning it into a non-slug :)

Anywho, I'll give you your thread back, sorry
