Just bought a '72 PL521 for $400. Trying to get it road safe as a first step. PO replaced the master cylinder but didn't bleed the system. It also ran like crap and he let it set up for almost a year.
What I have done: Rebuilt the carb, upgraded with a Pertronix kit to electronic ignition, flushed the gas tank, flushed the fuel lines, replaced fuel filter, distributor cap, and rotor.
What I still need to do: bleed brakes and replace tires/rims (3 are 15" and 1 is a 14"). I can't find the bleeder valves alone except on ebay. From the research I can find, the front and back are different valves? They are 7/16 (11mm) but how long? Most parts places can't even look it up. Heck, Advance Auto Parts says the plug wires are special order?! Does someone have more specifics on the valves or is there a more current vehicle that uses the same valves/plug wire that I can lie and tell them I have? You can get the slave cylinders for $35ea.
