... I think some people need to learn how to read.

What is the best way to get rid of that rear end hop though? Subframe spacers right?

Dude, you don't know what his car is like. Perhaps there's something terribly wrong with the brakes or suspension, which makes it unsafe and possibly turns it into quite a frightening ride. Maybe the reason he's afraid is inherent. Maybe there's something about the 240sx that makes it hard for him to drive... there could be many reasons.

But there's nothing wrong with him sharing his experience. Maybe if he told us more about what's wrong with the car, we can give advice to fix it.

What I'd like to ask the original poster is why he bought a car that felt unsafe.

I don't think anyone would miss you if you left.

I need to figure out what might cause the clunking upfront - any ideas crazycav?

I just redid both of the D bushings on the front sway bar (because it almost fell off on the freeway o_O)

Ok, and you posting this mindless crap helps him in what way?

I'm sorry I didn't know that being able to accurately handle a RWD car in all situations entitled you to "be a man". Perhaps you'd like to try my RR car and tell me it's not scary when the *** end has a mind of it's own at 100+ mph?

When you aren't an experienced driver the smallest things can scare you, some people are just this way, but that doesn't mean you should "sell your car immediately cause you're not a man". Please, everyone has to learn somewhere.

My advice to the topic starter is to enroll in the local auto-x and address any current issues with the car that you are aware of. Use the auto-x as an opportunity to both drive your car at the limit with little danger to self and property, and ride along with other more experienced drivers. Note what they do, and focus on feeling out the car. One thing you must learn as a driver is that you must know what your car is gonna do before it happens. The only way to do this is to be able to feel the car's momentum, and apply experience to it.

Since you are learning, why not start with why the car is oversteering on a driver level. Are you being too aggressive with the steering wheel? Are you being too aggressive with the throttle inputs? Are you going a little faster than you should? Are you braking around a corner?

These are all questions you should ask yourself... I have friends that just plain suck at driving and this is what I noticed about them:

1. They don't pay attention 100% of the time.2. They don't feel the car out.3. They overestimate their own abilities.

Start from your own level, and move up slowly. You gotta learn how to walk before you can run.

BTW, Pushnlacs... the best thing about this forum is that we accept all levels of questions and concerns with some level of humanity (you know ... compassion?). Typically people that have something negative to say stay out of the thread out of respect for the person who took the time and the dignity to post it in the beginning.

I don't want this to come out the wrong way, but there is only one way to say it. If your nervous about driving the car, please stay off the public streets until your car is checked out by a mechanic or your abilities have improved. Try some large open parking lots. Practice using cones and such. But nervous drivers are a hazard to others on the road.

But like I said, get your car checked out, you may have some suspension issues.

There are a few driving schools as well.

the best advice given was dont drive it then. i mean if he said that any were else he would be messed with and you know it. common sense thats usally a stupid thing to say cause it has no answer. you cant handle rwd, so dont drive a rwd car theres no reason for the post plan and simple, go on complaining about my post having no poin but theres absolutly no point in him posting that he cant drive. it sucks for him butl it aint my problem.

Let's try that again:

A few suggestions:

1. You need to learn when to stop. Your posts have contributed nothing to this thread, and have no doubt hurt someone in the process. All we have learned through your input is that you are an ignorant jerk.

2. Restating the obvious does little to correct the image you project, i.e. "This is a forum about a RWD car." Furthermore, technically speaking, all of these "forums" are actually threads started by administrators... the "forum" is NICO, and NICO is about all Nissans and Infinitis, irrespective of their drivetrains. By clearly not knowing this fact and using what you believed to be infalliable knowledge to harass someone else, you seem to reinforce the idea that you are both ignorant and a jerk.

3. While making relevant points, i.e. "If you are uncomfortable driving a RWD car, don't buy one," refrain from verbage that reinforces evidence that you are an ignorant jerk.

4. You are quite possibly right in saying the thread has no point, though suggesting that one person's courage to admit that he has a problem is the cause of this pointlessness negates whatever creditiblity you had, suggesting instead that you are an ignorant jerk.

5. You say, "It sucks for him but it isn't my problem." If it isn't your problem, why did you bother posting in the first place? You did it to hurt another person, though you were unaware of how contradictory your act of posting would be to the statements you made by doing so. Again, your very presence in this thread suggests that you are, in fact, an ignorant jerk.

6. You exhibit the same level of competence in writing that the poster admits he or she has in driving a 240sx. You suggest that if a person cannot use something properly, they shouldn't use it at all. In that spirit, let me ask you to never again use the English language. Of course, you won't take that suggestion, and you'll probably post on this thread again. Since I have no doubt in my mind that you will rebuke my post in the future, I'll just use that fact as proof that, even when given the opportunity to prove otherwise, you will just show everyone that you are an ignorant jerk.

7. Presently, you are an ignorant jerk. You should do something about that.

BACK ON TOPIC:

To the original poster, if you are still reading through this thread, I would like to add to the suggestions that you either diagnose and fix whatever is bothering you in the 240sx or that you purchase another car. Being able to drive RWD is not important, but being comfortable and safe in your car is. If this is the last time you post here with a question, I want to apologize for myself and anyone else that may have offended you somehow. Good luck and be safe.

masticatingcow covered everything else.

In the interest of not letting anybody get in a final word against his excellent post, I'll put this thread to rest so we can move on.
