I was removing the harness and a white and a blue wire were spliced into my ecu connector and they were coming from this black box looking thing and idk what they are and what id need to do with them when I put my sr20 harness through there. I assume they’re important, but I also don’t know so if anybody could tell me what this is thatd be amazing.

That looks an awful lot like an aftermarket car alarm. What year of s-chassis is this?

From the looks of it 91-94...

Yeah those aren't standard nissan wiring colors. Are there any labels on the box? Where do the wires go under the dash?

I can see they go under the airbox but... where to?

If they go up under the steering column, i am thinking thats an aftermarket car alarm

I’m not sure where they go under the dash. But there’s a line that goes from the top of the box to where the end of the throttle cable goes on the throttle body.

Oh snap. Someone installed an aftermarket cruise control.

What does your dash look like? Is there a button or switch thats been added for speed control?

If you dont want or need it, you could just remove it altogether. Its aftermarket and not required to go with your swap. Otherwise leave it and i believe the SR has a second pulley on the throttle for ascd. (Automatic speed control device or the oem cruise control)

It works by adjusting your throttle position to keep you at a given speed.

Could be tapping into the harness either for speedo input to its controller or neutral safety switch to tell if the car was shifted out of gear (is it a manual or auto? Mostly likely tapping in for speedo signal i'd wager)

Now that you say that there is a spot on the steering wheel where two wires are just coming out of the column. I’m definitely just removing it. I’ll probably just cut the wires and tape them off so I don’t have to remove any more of the dash than I need to. It’s a manual. Thank you so much for your help, I really had no idea what that was lol.
