i did something stupid!

i need help AGAIN!

my o2 sensor's wire melted off and now my car idles funny and i tried to put my old o2 sensor back but still no go! engine still idles funny!

any thoughts on how to fix this because i tried to reset the ecu but still same problem! the car use to idle normal with the old o2 sensor now its just f*****!

my new o2 sensor is kinda messed cus the top of the sensor where the tip is vented, is now melted and open! will this o2 sensor still work even if the cap part is gone? i was thinkin of just putting the wires back together and tryin it out!

anyone think this will work or im f*******?

o2 sensors aren't THAT expensive. Go grab another one, just don't melt it.

Not sure how much one for a 240sx might cost, the one I just got for my girlfriend's Avenger was $40.

here o2 sensors are price"y" like a bill 80! not cheep. but i guess thats my only option!

can someone break down how the o2 sensor works? i know it monitors the fuel air mixture and i think thats why my car idles funny (low) ! is that why?

can anyone elaborate more?

only $80 at a dealer... try an autoparts store... seriously they are under $20
