I had been planning all week to do my photoshoot for the convertible calender this weekend. Well, today was the better opportunity to get it done. I got it done... but man it nearly killed me!
I'm sick. I feel like absolute crap! It came on yesterday and hit me like a ton of bricks. Usually when I get sick, it takes a day or two to fester, this time though.. It came on all at once and hit me really hard. I've got the sore throat, sinuses full, headache, cloudy head, the works....
But I had a goal and decided I wouldn't be likely to have another 70* day for oh... 6 months... ?
So I got up after maybe getting 3 hours of real sleep. I headed outside by about 8:30 this morning.
I started with a good soapy wash. Believe it or not, I was already starting to regret this whole project before I even finished scrubbing the car. You know how your body just doesn't work very well when you're sick... how your muscles just get tired and weak.. But I got it washed and then dried it.
After the wash, I decided I couldn't handle the condition of the paint, so I got out the buffer and cutting compound and buffed the heck out of the car.
Buffing with cutting compound creates a ton of white powder...
So again I washed the car and then dried it.
Then it was time to polish the car. So I got the foam wheel and Perfect It 3 polish and went to town on it.
Finally it was starting to look nice!
But it had a funny look to it. It was reflecting too many light patterns, so it looked strange.
So even though I was already basically dead... Time to wax it!!!
I broke out the carnuba wax and gave it a good coat. Then wiped it all off. The waxing off is what really got me. Wow was I tired!!!
So it was time to go take some pictures. Oh crap.. wife was already pissed at me. By then it was already almost 11:30. She needed to get to work!
Oh well... no sense putting it in the garage now.
So I drove across town to Lambeau Field. Snapped a ton of pictures.
Drove through town and stopped by a church on the way that had a really nice brick wall that I thought would make a nice background.
Then I headed to an industrial park and took the obligatory loading dock pictures that everyone seems to love.
Then I drove 10 minutes North of town to a park on the lake. I took a bunch more pictures there and then headed home.
I just got home at like 1:45. BOY is my wife pissed at me now!!!
Did I mention she's 8 months pregnant... doesn't help with the old temper very much. lol.
So I'm sick as a dog, tired as heck, and in the doghouse. But, I got some pictures... I hope.
I borrowed my wife's work camera. She took it back with her to download the pictures. So assuming she doesn't delete them because she's crabby at me... I should be able to post my pictures this evening or tomorrow morning.
I just thought I'd share the saga first... I'll add the pictures as soon as I can. Then I'll need help choosing which pics to submit for the calender.
