After a straight week of madly selling parts on the forums I actually managed to collect all the money I needed to! Thanks to negotiating techniques and information I got from some special NICO members (thanks Aaron/Import Ant!!), I was able to get the loan payoff amount from $10,562 to only $9,500!!

Over this past week I've dealt with a LOT of very generous people who were willing to help me out, purchase parts without even trying to bargain and at some times even paying full retail price! I cant express this enough: THANK YOU GUYS for all of your help. Really, it was YOU who saved me from this mess- there is no way I could have done this without the consistent and selfless help I got from so many NICO members. Thank you thank you thank you!

And the icing on the cake is: I got all this money together WITHOUT having to sell the actual car itself! The S13 is still sitting proudly in my garage, and let me tell you guys: I will NOT let this mess stop me, the S13 KA-T will live again!!!

PS: Still selling a few things I wont be using on the new setup. 72# MSD injectors, Autometer cobalt gauges, possibly entire fuel system, etc. Contact me if interested.

As a noob, I wouldny buy used parts from just anybody. I wanted that EMS you had, but someone got it before I did. But I'm glad you got the debts paid off.

Heh good question. I'm still not entirely sure. I know that I dont want to spend as much money this time around. I am REALLY considering going with the megasquirt setup, maybe an engine built with pistons again (I know, I know), extremely clean wiring, meth injection again for sure... I'm thinking a solid 350rwhp could be fun and somewhat economical by comparison.

...Which is why I'm thinking of keeping the fuel stuff. 72# injectors may be a little big for me though so I think I'll sell those. Make me an offer, I'm not sure what they're worth by themselves.

Glad to hear it, Foster!

I thought I'd let you guys all know that my KA-T will live again as well, with the help of the block/crank/girdle I got from Foster....

Now all that I need is the $ to finance all of this, although my Dad's been really helpful with all of this because he knows how much time and money I dumped into it the first time, and how devastated I was when it failed only 1000 miles later...

Jajaja... and just 2 months ago everybody was jumping out of the KAT bandwagon.... now we are all staying. That's great to say the least. Hey Fiz... consider this, this time you'll probably make less mistakes = less money. And get better results too.

I wish you luck... on the car and med school.

Thanks everyone! I am VERY glad there is a S13 still sitting in my garage. I think the main goal for now is to put it back to stock, and then worry about turboing later on. I think that might be the best/safest/slowest/cheapest course of action I can take.

Epokh, I think I just may sell that fuel system. Still interested?
