I just wanted to show some pics of my newly completed swap...

This was once an automatic ka24e, now its properly equipped with a rb20det motor. The car runs perfect! The clip came with a 3" down pipe, tuned ecu, and this giant air filter. I started the swap on a thursday afternoon and had the motor in by thursday night. I got it running friday afternoon and was driving saturday, with a newly installed vlsd. I also installed a 3" catback from SS autochrome (ebay company) and adjusted my cat ( if ya know what I mean). The car boosts at 11lbs and lights up the tires with medium pedal effort. The only problems im having with this swap are a result of the skyline clip being in a front end collision. The engine crossmember was tweaked alittle and required me to oblong the holes to make it fit. With that item being bent also causes my steering shaft to not reach the rack and pinion correctly. But I managed to make that work for now too. Other then that the car functions perfectly, And is the perfect sleeper in its stock looking form....stock looking untill I move away from socal atleast.

Yeah, but that's a 20. Try installing a 25 in that amount of time buddy and then you can talk smack! Are you up for the challenge? Come on, show down in my garage, high noon 5/14.

Serious note; good job! And if you're free on that date, I could use some help. :)

I actually might be able to help if you need it but im not going to make any commitments untill it gets closer to that date. Overall the swap is pretty easy, the 25 shouldnt be too much harder so long as you have all the parts needed to install it. I managed to get the motor in and running completly by myself. On saturday my friend wanted to come over and help so I had him put in the differential and help install the smic. Also I used the "8 steps to wiring your rb" to get it started, it was even easier the second time.

The swap can be done in that amount of time cause it's simple. Everyone makes the RB swaps out to be alot of work. Me and one other guy finished(running and driving) an RB20 swap in just over 10 hours.

The car looks awesome, did you try to use the pedals from the clip for the 5speed swap??? I did that on one of the RB swaps and the pedal is just a tad bit longer than the 240sx ones would be.

None yet, I've been way too busy, I'm doing another swap right now so I'll get some pics of the wiring up.....I'll post a thread when it's done, probably this weekend assuming all goes well with this swap, it's one of those, work on it a little here and there things.....school gets in the way of alot.

The wiring is not hard... just find the coolant and tach signal wires off your ecu and hard wire them to your cluster. Run the s13 speed sensor wires directly to the speedo and it will work as well. the fuel level should already be working. The 8 step covers the rest. I hope this swap dosnt go mainstream like the sr did... paying double what I pay for a clip now is a discomforting thought. But it is only a matter of time anyway. I am probably going to sell this car in about 2 mos... I would like to build a rb26 240 next.
