In my S13 w/ SR and he was an early 90's Mustang 5.0 with at least an exhaust maybe IHE.

He would have gotten me for sure from a dig (no LSD yet, it came in yesterday, but its a 2 way, not the 1.5 way I ordered Grrr), but I insisted on a roll.

It was from 40mph, I was in second gear revving a tad above 4k.

Not even close, I destroyed the 5.0!!!:icesangel

According to witnesses, I got him by many car lenghts and left him right away. I shut it down at 100+ mph ( hazards..:D..) at which point he had given up.

My Mods:Sr20DET with Walbro 255l. Greddy FMIC, ACT clutch, Griffin radiator, Blitz BOV, Boost Controller ( Manual in-cab), and a few non performance related things.

LIGHT wheel/tire combo too (16 inch Enkei "racers" w/ ViktoRacers in the rear.

Michael in a 2000 Altima (5 speed w/ 50 shot) also beat a B16 turbo swapped Civic that was competently driven.

A friend of ours has a Chrysler Minivan with a Eclipse Turbo Motor and AWD in it....

We were out around 1:30 am and suddenly like 15 Mustangs and Camaros showed up .It was kinda something out of a movie, cuz we were white ( basically the South Indiana NICO chapter) and the first group we raced was Asian (mostly, and they were now hanging out with us, after most of us beat them pretty good, even tho they had nice cars, mosly swapped Hondas, plus that 5.0, their snootiness from earlier, gone with the wind..:D) and the group now rolling in, in muscle cars, was Latin.

But we knew some of them. So it wasnt like a big bad ethnic thing, like on prime time TV, but it still struck me as something from a movie.

Anyway we DID get those guys to race the Minivan at an industrial area with about an 8th mile of room (then another 8th for braking before the wall)

One of their fastest Z28's (6 speed LS1) lined up with the Minivan from our NICO Indiana crowd and thought it was a big joke.

Until he got destroyed by the Minivan!:ylsuper

It was alot of fun and like some thing from the movies were the white kids and the Asian kids and The Latin kids all show up in 3 groups and race each other.

Except unlike the sensationalist BS on TV, no fights or discord of any kind!

But certainly a nite of some of the most hard core racing, I had been a part of for a while.

When I left (2:30 am) they were still going at it .

Fred..:)

For those who are wondering: I was running my daily driver setting of 13 lbs, cuz I had forgotten to change it to my race setting of 14 lbs (stock T25).

That sound like something definitely out of the movies, but truly believable in today's combination of enthusiasts.

Sounds like you had some fun. If you put a bunch of car lengths on the Mustang, you might consider going from a stop next time. Even if you have to take it easy through 1st, you can probably catch up and pass him in 2nd and 3rd.

The Ville has some great cars and stupid Tools also. You do need to head up!

Check out 502 for the summer meet. It's not all Nissan's but it will be real cool.

Fred I want a piece of that 240!! I give you a head start too.;) Nothing like spanking some chump in a V8. AFter I left the night meet, I found me a Vert Z28 with 3 chumps in it. Outcome was pretty ugly, if you catch my drift.:D

I beat a 92 5.0 from a 25mph roll by about one to two cars till we shut off about a 110mph. I know the guy with the 5.0 his mods are IHE, with 373 gears and pullies. And I was on stock boost with T25 and the usual goodies FMIC, DP, Exhaust. All day at work the guy was calling my car slow, it felt good to beat a modded V8.

You'd think that you would get tired of it, but oddly enough its fun every time. I guess it cuz of the fact they're so ignorant and pig headed that makes destroying their cars in a race so much fun. I, personally, havent had the chance to since my Max is slow compared to the rest of them.
