I.D. this transmission

Hello, my friend just blew a transmission in his Impreza 2.5rs. Impreza trannys are pritty fragil, and they are usually the first thing that breaks when going turbo.

So He got a new one, and when they where taking it out someone mentioned that the case was similar to a 240's . So we were just trying to ask around to see if we might be able to find some stronger transmission parts, from a nissan. Subaru and Nissan shares alot of parts, so I think it might be possible

Here are a few pics of the RS transmission.

If anyone has pics of a 240 transmission please post them or maybe a skyline, I understand that we're talking about AWD vs. RWD.





Any Info or ideas would be great!

To begin with, the starter is on the wrong side of the bellhousing and the throwout assembly is in the wrong place, along with the gear shifter.

I dont have a pic of a 240sx transmission but Im sure someone does.

If i were you i would give that crazy idea up. Go look for race stuff from and for subaru. It will cost you less time and money.
