well, i can officially say I hate the design of the Y33 front suspension. Lets remove every damn part to get the strut out.

Heres the list of items broke or ****ed up during the R&RAbs Sensor - Damn things were frozen in, even after PB blastering them for about a hours, no luck getting them out. Passenger side sensor seperated from its housing, im fairly confident the drivers side did the same, so i'll be ordering those later this week. my bank accounts scared.Stripepd Lugnut and lugnut tool (cheap ebay crap!!! ) Somehow, while removing the rear wheels the lugnut tool cracked and then slipped on a lugnut and stripped it. I'll deal with that one later.

the front coil design doesnt allow for much options when cutting them. its either 1.5-2" drop or 4: drop. Knowing that I went with 2" until I just man up and buy coilovers. I was able to match the rears height wise. So It's like this until I buy coils. I was over it early on today and decided the jsut even it out, even if it looks like ***.

dont worry though. Coilovers will be ordered soon though.

when all things are said and done here's where i'd like to roughly be daily.

Theat would be Earl S. McPherson of the Ford motor company. I believe he is already deceased.

im not talking about hte macpherson strut. Im talking about making the front strut, spindle, brake caliper mount assembly 1-piece.

I didnt roll or pull anything yet, but will be soon. I was tired and the guys at our tech center wanted to go home so i said i'll deal until the time comes to drop it.

It may have been a pain in the butt, but it looks great.

It is a pain. The J30 front end is very similar. I cursed the day I disassembled one.

It appears that all your hard work has paid off. The stance is great, and will be killer with the coil overs.

Have you thought about bagging the car? Lately, a lot of cars are going air bag suspension. I saw a test on a Mid 00's Camaro, and the car handled WAY better with the bags, and the ride is COMPLETELY adjustable.

I wonder if a Mustang type front bag would work? The rear would be a simple application, really.
