whats the easiest way to tell if a 240 has hicas? ive been told there is one in the junkyard buy me, but i dont want to crawl under it unless i know it has it. its kinda burried and it gonna be a pain.

Rear quarter panels will have a badge that says "Super Hicas".

Also it's easy to see even just peering under the rear bumper, you'll see two lower links and the steering rack boots right above the VLSD housing. Don't know how badly it's buried.

I don't remember the VIN code for HICAS but I have it somewhere in the FSM.

You can look on the dash board just under the guages on the right side of the steering wheel. There will be a little light that is labeled hicas. It is used for when the car is low on power steering fluid. Also look at the power steering pump. If it has hicas then there will be three hoses attatched to it. Two going out and one coming from the power steering resivour. If it only has 2 hoses then it is not hicas. Hope that helps

Look under the hood, if the powersteering pump has 4 lines comming out of it, then it's super hicas, if it's short and only two lines, then it's not super hicas.

Already stated and its not 4 its 3. If you dont have Hicas, you might wanna look under the hood of someone who does before posting again.

Oh my bad, I misunderstood, Yeah my buddy got a hicas 240 but when we swapped an SR20 into it we got rid of the pump so I only got like a good couple of glimpse's of it. Oh well, good thing you're here to correct it.

Its all good. My SR didnt come with it either but I traded with somebody to get one with hicas for my sr!
