Some guy is taking a 3rd generation viper motor and stuffing it into a z32 chassis! Hopefully he gets rid of those godawful wheels

Last video he's posted was in 2010...I don't know if this is being continued.

BUT...If you richer fellows happen to have 9 grand laying around, you can pick up a fully rebuilt viper motor and actually pioneer this swap so we can all :fap:

P.s. If anyone comes out with the comment, "You can get 500hp for cheaper than 9 thousand," :slap: I find it amusing when people do crazy swaps like this.

2000hp in a Z or S chassis will be quite undriveable and retarded.

Really? undriveable and retarded...

Viper:
wheelbase: 96.2"
overall length: 176.7"
front track: 58.9"
Rear track: 60.9"
Height: 48"
curb weight: 3460LBS

300zx
wheel base: 101.2"
overall length: 178"
front track: 58.8"
Rear track: 61.2"
Height: 49.2"
curb weight: 3414LBS

It is essentially almost the same car, the measurements are pretty close. soo why would having a viper motor in a z32 chassis be any different or stupid? that viper is pulling great numbers with 1900hp, given its close measurements to the z, so really whats the issue?

Specs are almost the same.

Also, that thing has been tubbed and has a damn chute coming off it's as$. Probably along with 1000 other suspension modifications.

Don't bring that in here and claim it's the same thing at all.

still a work in progress as you can tell, how do we know what hes gonna do?

That mod claimed it wouldnt be driveable... well...I proved that theory false given the z's dimensions almost mirror that of the viper, give it a tubed chassis, slicks as wide as 335 (355 which can fit under a z32 chassis with modification) as well and a parachute and it would be set to pull some decent numbers, right?

Obviously anything 2000hp + isnt going to be a circuit car, but I think a v10 z wouldn't be that bad in that department either (given it had substantially less horsepower, and THEN that would raise the topic of "well, you can get that amount of horsepower with 'X' motor."

Nevertheless, this is most likely going to be a daily driver from the looks of it. Albeit it does have amazing potential if built correctly. *edit* Not to mention if he wrecks it doing whatever type of racing he prefers, the z32 chassis is a lot cheaper than a viper chassis, and external parts are definitely more affordable...so that's a plus

I posted this because of the originality of the guy doing it, and the serious fab and electrical skills necessary to do such a thing, not because I think 'ohh that's so dope its a viper motor.' I thought you guys would enjoy it as much as I do seeing it. I don't see any harm in that?
