i cracked the water hose connection to the heater core.

so when pulling out my engine the connection that connects the coolant line to the underdash heater core was cracked. what are my options here? i would rather not pull the dash to replace the core. i COULD bypass the core all together but then i wouldn't have heat and thats no fun.

anyone have any suggestions or am i just sol?

You could try to jb weld it, but you know that the coupler shoukd probably be replaced, which is the wonderful process of pulling the dash

yea thats kind of what i figured. i'm thinking that its probably worth it to just bypass the core till i can afford to have someone else do it. interior work is frustrating. too many clips and pins to break.

me too man. this is my first post other than a classified ad in probably a year or so. i went and tinkered with the car today and forgot how much i loved that thing...... just hope i'm not too burned out to get it back together one last time.
