i cant get the intake manifold back on....HELP please

all i need to do to get my car running again is finish putting it back together...i have the head on and all the exhaust stuff on...i cant seem to get the top half of the intake manifold back on...there isnt enough room to clear the bolts it has to connect to ....

does anyone have and tips or am i trying to do it wrong or what?....

You need to remove the studs. Use two nuts tightened against each other to remove them.

thanks...that was the kind of tip i was looking for....now do i have to remove the studs on the bottom half of the manifold and the ones on the head? or just one?

From what I recall (its been at least four years), you can get by with removing one. But, you could probably remove both to make it easier.

i jsut removed both...it will be easier....but i noticed something not right....under the intake manifold there is a connector that clips onto a bolt that goes into the block....my connector is borken....do u know what this is or if its important?

Sounds like the knock sensor. Yeah, you kinda need it.

well the connector is broken....do u know if i can replace it easily? and if its cheap?

If you can find someone parting out their car or a salvage yard, it should be cheap. And, I don't think I've ever replaced any of those style connectors.

well thanks for all your help....ill let u kno how anything goes....do u have any pics or could u find any of this knock sensor?....so i can make sure we're talking about the same thing
