i cant get my sr to idle.

ok so i bought my 240 off this guy for 600 bucks and it was gutted. blown engine. so i got a sr20det off my brother. i put it in.. i got it to start and run but i cant get it to idle. im lost.
i checked my tps and its .45 closed and like 4.1 wot.

I checked my timing by lining up black chain links with dots on cams. timing pin was on 2nd mark from the left. and adjusted cas with the 2 line up marks.


changed fuel pump and fuel filter.


turned key to on and read out volts on maf signal wire and blew in it and was reading like 1.1 or something which its reasonable cause i cant blw as hard as the car.. no h0m0.

changed all my spark plugs.

my greddy bov has its own vaccum line. the bottom left port on throttle body is going to stock wastegate and other vac is the fpr.

i checked voltage at the plug(with it off) on the iacv.

it starts every time. it wont idle..it only stays running if i keep tapping the gas pedal. and randomly it will just rev up high as hell..if i take my foot off the throttle it dies.

i need help. anyone got any ideas?

I would clean the iacv and adjust the screw on the iacv.

i have sprayed carb cleaner in the hole where the idle screw is and in the side that connects to ic pipe..

i dont know if it would make a difference but i took a metal idler screw out of a fwd sr and switched it with the pos plastic one.

reset your tps. and double check to make sure no boost leaks.

If you hae cleaned the IACV and tried adjusting it and still have the problem i would cheack for vacume leaks. it's easy enough just take some carb cleaner and spray a small amount around the intake and turbo pipe's, vacume lines anything like that with the engine runing if the rpms rise then you got a leak. also check your timing with a timing gun. all you have to do is take out your number 1 coil and use an old plug wire to jump from the coil to the plug then hook up your timing gun and check it that way.

but i cant really check the timing if it wont idle. and how do you reset tps?

ok so ive pulled my intake manifold and cleaned the f*** outta the iacv.. i also hooked up 12v to positive and grounded the ground wire and watched the little square open up when i touched the 12v to it. so i know thats working..in the process of putting it back together i broke a intake manifold bolt on the lower half. i need to easy out it back out. now the only thing i can think of why its not idling low is...i also have a broken valve cover sutd...dont think it would cause it to idle between 1200 and 1900 but maybe let me know. when i got the motor a coil pack(#1) bolt was broken off in the valve cover. dont think that would effect idle either.. but maybe. i still havent done a leak test. i dont have a air compressor. ive been reading forums everyday and still havent found my answer. i cant really set the timing right cause it bounces but i set it according to the frsport. im pulling my hair out about this does anyone got anything?

i want to get the datascan for my computer but i dont know if it will help at all except give me all numbers. and dont know what one to buy is it the 14 wire plug? i remember reading somewhere that you have to re teach the ecu the tps..and i cant find it again. i beleive you have to turn the car on then wait 5 second and turn it off and do this cycle about 20 times or thing.
