I'm working on the wiring harness for my DOHC->RB20 w/KA lower harness, I have only found two tutorials:

1) DOHC->Rb20 using RB20 lower harness2) SOHC->Rb20 using KA24 lower harness

I've been using #1 tutorial but now I'm stuck on this step: Quote »The KA black/yellow wire is actually on a plug on the side of the fuse box, you can clip the plug off of your old ka and connect it to this for a clean connection or clip it off like I did, please note that the white wire is just cut, it is NOT spliced into the black/yellow wire and the black/white wire. The black/white wire is on the 8-wire RB plug.[/quote]I cannot for the life of me find the 8 Wire RB plug, is this plug on the RB lower harness? If it is, how do I do that step with a ka lower harness?

I only have a 6 wire RB plug with the following coloured wires.-White w/black trace-Black w/red trace-White w/purple trace-Teal-Light Blue-Green w/Orange trace

On the SOHC>RB swap guide it doesnt even mention an 8 wire plug, so I have to assume the 8 wire plug doesnt exist or is on the transmission harness. So where do I put the Black/yellow wire?

Thank-you for your help!

Update: Problem SolvedTalked to Carl H and the 8 plug wire is on the transmission harness, I don't have to bother with it.

Gracias

Yeah, I'm using his as well, but what are the differences between the SOHC and DOHC parts since he started with a SOHC?

not much at all. fyi, skillzilla refers to finding a wire in a gray plug by the battery for the ignition relay, you'll find the appropriate wire in the brown plug by the battery. something like 12v when car key is at on, 12v when at start, and 0 when off (you need a voltometer to check which one does that), but its in the brown plug.
