I have been to enough dealerships to know that if I go with a faint noise problem, I will get either they are supposed to do that or I won't be able to replicate the sound. Anyways, everytime I go over a bump I seem to get a noise that seems to either come from both A-pillars or near both speakers on the dash. Driving me crazy. Does anyone else have these noising and find a resolution or pinpoint where it is coming from? Alot more noticable when it is cold out.

Same here. Just faint enough that most people don't hear it or distinguish it, but loud enough to be completely aggravating to a disserning ear. While we're on it ... my car has dozens of rattle spots from the front to back. I've had friends ride with me to help listen and narrow down locations but they typically don't hear anything even though I'm sitting right next to them listening to it.

I've just accepted it as an ongoing project. I've got a dynamat bulk kit that I'm going to do the rear deck and doors with. While I'm in the process, I'm going to go ahead and remove pillars, etc. and see what's going on. I'll probably try and put felt tape on a lot of the plastic on plastic parts (which there seem to be an abundance of in this car) and make sure wires are taped securely and that sort of thing.

I'm also thinking of just getting the Nismo exhaust and 2 10"s in the trunk. That'll guarantee I don't hear the pesky little rattles . Too bad I'll still know they exist.

Let me know how the Dynamat works out for you. If it helps get rid of them, I will spend the $200 or whatever it is. Anyone else able to track them down? It definitly sounds like loose or rubbing plastic.

LOL... dynamat... or the solution... create your own noise to drown it out lol... my girl had a habit of doing this in her old POS... jacked the radio to max so she didnt hear the car lol

Put your finger on the keyhole for the glove box or on the screw in the back of the handle. That's my problem right there. Rattles like hell sometimes and I can't replicate it. See if that's your'e problem.

My one major rattle came from the passenger seatbelt hitting against the seat and the door. Simple fix is to get a seatbelt button and install it so the clasp doesnt fall down. Another one I notice is from the glovebox, because Nissan has a terribly stupid design. They made the latch be on the far left side, so there is nothing to support the right side and then it rattles a bit

And finally my beloved "maracas" noise coming from the front dash, almost seems to be the speaker. When I am driving around 70mph I get a rattle noise that sounds like someone is shaking a maracas. I went to the dealer and went on a testdrive with the 'head tech guy' and Im sitting in the passenger seat hearing the noise, and he is claiming he cant hear anything when he is the one driving. AKA he is full of crap.

Yah I hear it all the time, its the sound of LOUSY AMERICAN WORKMANSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AGHHH!

Sadly the only thing the Japanese did with this car was come up with the design and then threw the drawings in America's face and said HERE now shutup and let us build our GT-R!

My steering wheel has, as of Saturday night, decided to make a scraping noise when I turn it rapidly to the right, approximately after an entire turn of the wheel. Just another annoying noise on the list...

mine makes a scratch/scrapping noise in the MIDDLE of my steering wheel, meaning i just move it 2 inches left or right i will hear it, not htat loud when ur driving slow and without music, but its kinda annoying, i mite get them to replace my wheel becuase of the adjustment thing is laggy and the cruise button is loose kinda..

Now you sound like all the people over at the Civic forums talking about their LOUSY CANADIAN BUILT 2006 plus Civic SI's.

I personally loved my 06 Civic SI which was solid as a rock and no problems or issues and Also love my 08 Altima Coupe which is also solid. I have had mine for 6 months and no problems or issues.

i drove my friends civic on the first day out the dealership, it was solid then

now when i open/close the passenger door it sounds like a tin can... i like our altima doors, it seems a bit thicker then the civics...even my dads 335xi

but the sound barrier of the altima is no more then a civic... u can vertually hear a coin dropped outside in your car! and when u fart in ur car, people outside will look at u...i wonder why...
