I have a 93 Nissan pickup ka24e. The check engine light came on and it wouldn't accelerate. I had to barely give it fuel. I got home I tried following the instructions on how to read the ecu codes. It just kept staying a constant red led. Now that I got it to do something the check engine light just flashes in sequence 1 12 123 1234 12345

And now my truck won't start.

The CEL blinks the first digit of the code slowly, then the second digit of the code rapidly. The 1 12 is code 12 which is the MAF sensor, and your lack of acceleration is a symptom of a bad MAF. Code 123 1234 is a 34 which is the knock sensor, and lack of acceleration is also a symptom of a bad knock sensor. The final 12345, I don't understand, because if you ignore the initial 1, the first code would be 23, but that code isn't used.

Well I was actually stuck in diagnostic mode. And after messing with it until 2 in the morning the screw adjustment broke. I actually found a guy on Craigslist that was awake and had one lol. I replaced the ecu. I got it running. But was weird is I had to unplug my fuel pump for it to start. Maybe it was flooded? Anyways. It's running now. I'm guessing the ecu just went out?
