It's my '30 Ford coupe. It'll be on the road next summer. I've got an Evo and a turbo 240 and this is cooler than both of them combined. It's got a 400" '69 Pontiac engine in it making about 400hp. It's going to make women and children weep. I fantasize daily about what's going to happen the first time I pull up next to a riced out Civic in this thing. WHHOOO BOY

No problem, chief.

Love the car and it sounds awesome. Might I suggest cutting the pipes of to a uniform length? I would make it look much more uniform than having 4 pipes of different length.

Thanks You're right. I just roughed those together to get an idea of what I wanted. Before it hits the road I'm gonna clean them up and have them coated white. The rest of the car will be black. Oh and to give people an idea of what this car means to me... I dumped TWO girls over this car. LOL I'll never forget the one chick looke at it when it wasn't this far along and she was like 'That's gonna be a car?' I couldn't stop thinking about that. the next week I was like GTFO!

That thing sounds fantastic! Pontiac 400 is an interesting choice...what caused you to go with that one? (Not knocking it, just curious as it's not very common).

I'd daily that thing. Screw the 240 and the Evo. that's the only car you need.

The Pontiac engine was given to me. And who can say no to free? The engine was in teribble shape though. It had to have a lot of machine work done to the heads. It sat outside and hadn't run for about 20 years when I got it. Pontiacs can be quirky motors and they tend to run hot but if you do your research and build them carefully they can be great engines. They make insane amounts of torque. I would not be surprised at all if the one in my Model A was making over 450ft/lbs. And that's probably at under 3000rpm! The heads flow pretty well too. 2.11 intake and 1.77 exhaust valves. That's insane!! The engine is a true beast. As for the ride height... I think the slammed thing is kinda played out right now. Especially with the whole rat rod scene. And hey don't you see enough slammed cars on this site??! LOL I think the current ride height gives it an old timey hot rod look which is what I was shooting for. The frame is a Brookville model A frame. It's got a 2" kickup in the rear and it's boxed pretty much front to back. I'm currently installing an additional k-member to hold the torque of that monster Pontiac. It's gonna be a good time!

I wouldn't lower it more than what it already is. I don't think they look that great slamed to the ground

My dad knew a guy that had a barn full of stuff. The body for this car was in the barn buried under a bunch of other old car stuff. Literally, a body is all it was. That was 9 years ago. After I brought the body home, I bought the frame from Brookville. I got the front suspension parts from Speedway and Posies. The rear axle, I pulled out of a junked Mustang. The Pontiac engine was given to me by my dad. He had given up on it. The car has been pieced together part by part. It's been a long process but it'll all be worth it the first time I do a huge burnout.

That is so damn hot. My roommate just bought a '69 Catalina with a 455 and a turbo 400 trans. Nowhere near as menacing as that '30 sled you've got. Go terrorize some old people, stat.

Wish I was there too. We aint got no hot rods here in the Caribbean (Trinidad to be exact), so I terrified people with a 1976 Mazda 616, no fenders, no exhaust, no air cleaner and no window glass. No front, rear or side glass. Man it was loud and quick. The original 1600 engine with ISKY cam, home made extractors and 34 ratchet webber.
