Yup, my baby decided to develop a leak.

The speed bumps around UCSD are murderous, and I guess one had it in for me. It's not that it was large, nor was i going fast, but as I was going over it, THUNK! Not the exhaust, but somewhere near the engine. Great.

I park, and of course it's leaking. Only water though... Coolent and oil levels are fine. The window washer crap is fine too.

So... Where did the water come from? The AC?

It's quite drivable, just sucks. I'll take it to a Nissan dealer over the weekend, and find out just how much my wallet will be raped.

Any thoughts on where the mystery water is coming from??

did it only leak for a moment, if so then yeah its just water from the a/c, every car does that, but your car doenst have a water storage tank in it, so it shouldnt leak for more than a few moments, otherwise its not water,

Yeah, this sounds like condensation from the AirCond. There will be water coming from underneath the engine bay depending on how hot/humid it is outside and how cold & hard you have the AirCond running.

Yea, dude, its just the AC condensation. I've bottomed out my car on speed bumps more times than I care to remember. The only part of the car than hits is the frame gaurd. You're car is perfectly fine

Hmm yeah, that's reassuring

I know the AC leaks water from time to time, but why would it leak more after being bottomed out??

I do not think its leaking, its condensation, I imagine section of the AC unit gets very cold, warm air hits, it the water vapor liquefies on the unit, until it drips down. Like putting out a cold drink on a summers day, the added effect of bottoming out causes more of the condensed water to fall off. Like taping or gently shaking your beer on a summers day more droplets fall off then letting it sit and drip off.

The jolt shook all the condensation off the AC piping

Yah that does make sense. I was running the AC all day too of course. It's hot down here

Thanks for the input, all.

I'm pretty sure I'll still be crapping my pants whenever I bottom it out though
