I bought My 240 back for $240 bucks!!!!!!!

Hey you may know about my accident not to long ago. check out the links in my sig. But the Ins. was going to give me $2800 for my 240 and I asked how much to buy it back they said $240 (well it was around there) so I said ok, ill buy it back so now i got my 240 back which Im very happy about and got $2600 left over. Needless to say Im a very happy camper right now. Just thought I would share.

Plans: going to buy a 95 GT Grand Am to use as a Daily driver while I fix my 240 and get the Black top in her, then I will unleash the Beast. RICERS BEWARE, HAHAHA

I got it back today and everything is still there, except the stock radio. They put it in the office building instead in the car cause of "sometimes they walk away" as the lady said. Which I can understand but If I get my car back they should have given me my radio back without having to call or spend an hour and a half going up there to get it.

instead of the grand am you should check ebay you can get a used police car for like 1500 bucks and most of them have the interceptor or lt1 engines, just a thought but thats cool that you got your baby(240)back and some spending money, have fun and drive safe, and make suer to watchout for more a$$hole drivers.

1500 bux? You're crazy, i've been looking for a 9C1 LT1 Caprice (the police model) for a while, they cost a lot, the cheapest I've found is like 3k for one with like 200k miles, for a decent one it's usually like 6k. People know about the 260hp/300tq LT1 in them. If you see any for 1500 let me know, i'll jump on it.

im at a cross roads. I can either buy the grand am and just fix the 240 and have the stock setup. Or I can buy the Black Top Front Clip and make my car pretty nice. Just use the parts I need of the new clip.

Is the car salvage now? Most of the time when the insurance consider it a total lost and buys the car, it is salvaged...

who care if it is Salvage. My 95 was Salvage now is a Rebuild just because it got hit at the rear. All i had to do is put a new left Tail light and a rear bumper no fame damage at all, no one can tell it was a Rebuild car. And insureance will total a car if it cost more then 70% of the retil Value of the car to fix the car.

mine for the ins. was over 130% to fix. but thats why im doing most of the work myself. But the frame and welding, im gonna let the body shop do that one.

i was in the same situation with my 84 trans am back in 97. i had her a week and some *** pulled out of a parking lot thinging he was faster then my v8. stupid honda driver. funny thing is he got it back that day from the body shop and i ramed into his side again. lol learn to drive fool.

anyways i bought my transam back for 200 and fixed the front end for 600 and spent the rest of the 2k on the stero.
