It is always better for performance to run Explorer(The "desktop") at a "low" resolution. I usually run mine at 1280 x 1024, but when I am doing intense graphic editing, I turn the resolution down to 800 x 600. I have found that this saves about 5~15MB of Graphics memory.
Also, it is good to keep the desktop resolution low when playing games, even full screen games. The graphics processing unit (GPU) still Must render the desktop, eventhough it is not visible. This is just the way Microsoft made WinXP .

Get with the times man! There is no such thing as "Tecch TV" anymore. They were bought out by MAC themselves or some Mac related company. Sinse then, the quality of programming has went way down. I think the "buy-out happened like 10 months ago.
Anyway, in theory, two heads are always better then one. But, like most theories, the Twin Graphics Card theory falls short when compared to The new Radeon or Nvidia PCI Express cards. And if you have enough money to buy those cards, why not just upgrade your whole system, that would surely give you a much greater performance boost.
