Ok...I resently bought a skyline from a kid in washington that bought it in canada. The car is registered there and passed the air-test and such. And I'm planning to take it to customs cause the car didn't come with the customs papers that it was suppose to. Then I will proceed to the dmv and register it. Any drawbacks on this besides of the illegal ones? Am I going about this the right way? I love my skyline...it's freaking BEAUTIFUL!

Excuse me, I am old enough to do my research and I've done it damn well. If everyone is so about the law...you use it right? No harm in trying to figure out how lenient Oregon laws are. And I'm obviously trying to register the car, thats partical of the paperwork you're going to need. If all fails I will keep the car till the 25yrs has passed. Besta believe it'll still be driven.

It all depends on who your working with, let a gal work her charm!

And stop being a tight-***, I didn't appreciate the comment...I came here for support...you're definitely not a morning person.

Woah sweet. Hope you didn't pay too much for it though. I have seen GTR's in the lots in my area for $10 000. Yes, that is right, I can go down the street and browse various skylines on the lot. One advantage to being in Canada.

Well I hope it works out for you, but from what I have read, it seems kind of doubtful. Just because the skyline passes emissions and safety here, doesn't really mean anything since they are kind of exempt once they are over 15 years old. I am pretty sure that we just have to get a proper VIN because the ones from the JDM cars have dashes in them. I am not 100% sure though.

Oregon seems as good a state as any to get a rhd registered. Any luck?
