I cracked all my ringlands today I beleive...Knew I had at least oen gone.. Had 2 miles to it's resting place...Don't think the car saw below 5k except when it first started up Forgot the camera had some nasty drifting in a field Ended up ripping my muffler off my car lol...

Ringlands are actually the grooves the pistons sit in. The part on either side that holds them in is what usually fails. I would guess your engine was probably just worn. If it happened just as soon as you boosted you probably have worn cylinders or excessive ring end gap. The problem is exacerbated when pressure goes up. May just be time to overhaul.

183k. yeah probably worn. rebuild kit w/ timing chain kit is actually quite affordable. might as well do the head too. i can get an entirely rebuilt head for 300 bones shipped. cams included.

Seems likely, you can do a re-ring in the car if you like. Just have to jack it up by the trans.

Yeah, you can't get the pistons back in through the bottom because you cannot get the ring compressor in there. If you try to put them in uncompressed you can marr them or otherwise destroy them before even installing. So you def have to take the head off.

EDIT: Plus you would have to take the oil squirters off.
