One of the issues is that the weight of the engine in the 2.5 is less than the 3.5. The springs made for the 2.5 lower the vehicle according to that weight. Putting the 2.5 springs on the 3.5 will not lower the car as much as you think it will. I can't comment on the fitment but I can guess that they probably will.

Tyler, isnt it backwards of what you said?
If it is made for a 2.5 it will be expecting to hold the weight of a QR, but when you put the VQ which weighs significantly more on the front end, I would expect that weight to compress the spring MORE not less, leaving the car sitting LOWER... I will ask one of the other staffers to chime in.

Regardless of if it will work or not, I would not do it, I have had a spring snap and it is a pain to have to deal with... Also the installation (of you are not doing it yourself, which I presume you are not or you would have realized the 2.5/3.5) is quite expensive... To have to do it more than once because you made a mistake is just not worth it IMO.

Usually used springs can go for $150 more or less. I bought mine for $130 off a craigslist guy, he was asking $150. I would list it as $180 on CL and see what you get.

Brian has it right. You'll end up sitting lower.
Your ride should also be a bit "softer" since your spring to mass balance will be skewed a bit more.

Just rent the spring compressor from Autoblown and do it yourself. If it sits too low to get aligned, or you drive it and don't like it, just pop them back out and put the factory ones back in. It isn't THAT difficult to swap them.

True

Just make sure you rent the 3-arm compressor. The 2-arm is a pain in the a** and many time compresses the spring incorrectly and moves around during compression.

im gonna try local sales first, beacuse i dont really want to ship them out, and i already got some one lined up to buy the 3.5 springs off of for $150, thanks for all the input guys. And on a quick side note how much do you think a used set of BC Coils would be, because I know someone local selling them and I might just jump straight to coils, heard alot of good things so, just wanted to know an eyeballed used price before I start negotiating...given there in good condition ofcourse.
