so my beautifully running s14 powerd 91' hatch was chugging on my way out to volo today so i could work on my friends rx-7 savanna but i wasn't EXTREMELY concerned, however i was kind of pissed on how it was acting seeing as it was just purchased 2 months ago and i've already put 4 grand into it. anyways as i was leaving i turned the engine on and it kind of didn't want to go so i turned it off again and....nothing. nothing at all. it doesnt even attempt. it's not the battery and it wouldn't even move after push starting it.

i am pissed and i don't know what to do. so i had it towed and they're going to find out what's wrong. labor will be a *****. i'm pissed off.

just had to vent. thx

Huh, I think only the clutch relay sensor would be the only thing that would prevent you from push starting a car (or a fried clutch). Don't pay too much.

well to be fair it did START when i push started it, but it chugged so much when i got it started that i couldn't get more than 8 mph and when i tried to put it in reverse it just died.

How about ICU, fuel injection, sensors, etc... with a carbureted, mechanical innition car there's very little that will stop it from push starting. With a fuel injected/electronic ignition car there's lots that'll prevent it from push starting.
