For about 2 years I've been pushing the Stillen adjustable upper links on this forum to solve the lack of camber adjustment and longevity in stock G50 upper links. After trying every other option, I finally cured the "grunt" in my front suspension by replacing the Stillen units with factory parts. Evidently the ability to grease them through Zerk fittings isn't enough to avoid the noise you get from a urethane bushing. Even more embarassing is the fact that the Stillen units, at full extension, are the same length as the factory part. I guess the 300ZX that they are made for uses a shorter link than the Q45. If anyone bought these very expensive (and ultimately useless) parts on my recommendation, I'm very sorry.

Werd,

I had the stillen parts on the front as well, they wore out and I replaced with stock.

I also had the Stillen units on my car for a while. They were too noisy and the bushings had to be replaced too often.

In the end, I just put spacers behind the bracket for the upper link and that took care of the camber adjustment.

911/Q45......I now know what is my squeak in my drivers side suspension. It must be what you were experiencing which is the most embarassing squeaky sound as I cruise down the street as it sounds like a creaky old door in a house and I have people at stop lights wondering what the hell all that squeaky noise is when I pull along side them. I have been too busy to take it to the shop to figure out what it was as I am back in S. America again for a while and have not been driving the Q that much. Is there any other type of bushing that they can use? My passenger side is fine with no squeaks, but the drivers side reminds me of high school days when we use to say "My Hooptie be rolling, tail pipe dragging....." at cars that sounded/looked like $hit.

Funny thing is that the dealer installed mine and really liked how they performed and I know that they are adjusted at about 3/4 of the way not all the way as you had mention so I am now wondering what is the deal with camber setup on my car.

They probably set you up with plenty of camber for better handling. My urethane bushings were in good shape, just noisy. I would recommend going back to the factory part, you'll lose virtually no performance and won't miss the noise a bit.
